Meet a few of our key team members.

Adam Gutowski, President CEA (Certified Equipment Appraiser)
With more than 35 years’ experience of valuation and liquidation of equipment and machinery, Adam’s expertise makes him a sought after and trusted resource for Williams & Lipton Company clients, from business owners to lending institutions. He is often seen as the face of Williams & Lipton, personally working with clients on-site to serve their appraisal and liquidation needs. Adam graduated Lawrence Technological University with a degree in Business Administration and earned his MBA from there too. He holds numerous certifications, including the AMEA Certified Appraisal Level II, ASA Ethics Certification and Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) Compliance, and he is a sought-after speaker for continuing education seminars, due diligence courses and industry events.

H. Gary Lipton, Chairman
Gary is among the area’s most respected appraisal experts and is a senior member of the Williams & Lipton Company team. He has served as Chairman, Appraiser, Auctioneer and Liquidator for the Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers. Past positions with this industry organization include Chairman of the Ethics and Standards Committee, Board of Directors Officer and Treasurer. Gary is a graduate of Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs New York and Oakland University. He has lectured at numerous banking institution events, conducted seminars on due diligence for the American Society of Appraisers and has been the keynote speaker and participant in the industry’s “How To Be an Expert Witness” workshop.

Vivian Curtis, Information Coordinator
Vivian has been with Williams and Lipton Company for 11 years. In addition to directly assisting Williams & Lipton clients, she works behind the scenes with our appraisal staff to process quotations and appraisal paperwork, calculate values, and maintain the firm’s auction and appraisal records. She prepares proposals and auction agreements and serves as a project manager for auction advertising materials, compiling ad copy and working as liaison between the firm and printer to keep materials on schedule.

Anna Geladin, Accounting and Administrative Support
Anna keeps the Williams & Lipton company books balanced and sales running smoothly. She handles payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable and bank reconciliations. For each sale we conduct, Anna maintains a file and balances funds from the buyers and settles all payments to vendors and customers. She also ensures we possess all the licenses, insurance certificates and Surety Bonds required for each of our auctions, and she conducts UCC & Tax Lien searches for each property prior to each auction.

Linda Crabtree, Auction Manager

After 24 years with Williams and Lipton Company, Linda has developed, to say the least, a highly efficient system, which helps ensure Williams and Lipton auctions run like clockwork. She generates mailing lists, handles the auction setup, tagging and cataloging, bookwork and invoicing, and she’s a reliable presence on-site during the sale, ready to handle any issues that arise, providing clerk services, making sure each buyer gets the items they won and securing the site after the auction is complete.

Ken Crabtree, Contractor, Auction Supervisor

A seasoned veteran of the auction industry, Ken has spent decades supervising auctions and joined forces with Williams and Lipton Company 27 years ago. He is often among the first of the Williams and Lipton Company representatives to visit the site, doing an initial walk-through, organizing the equipment for tagging and cataloging and using his decades of experience to help provide clients with reliable estimates of equipment value. On the day of the auction he is there to oversee the setup and checkout services and helps buyers arrange for crews and labor for equipment removal where needed.
